In early March, right as the COVID-19 pandemic was beginning to impact us, my mom came to town for a visit. We spent the day checking out several local establishments but one in particular was a required stop after I heard it was providing free meals to school children during COVID-19 as the schools had been closed.
We Serve Coffee is a quaint, eclectic little coffee house tucked down a side street in downtown Findlay, Ohio and prides itself on offering the best organic, fair-trade coffee and tea as well as serving the local community. It offers a fun, relaxing, atmosphere with a laptop bar for those wishing to be productive as well as several more intimate spots to catch up with close friends.
We chose to stop here for lunch and be sure to help them on their mission in supporting the local community. I ordered the ham and potato soup with the chicken bacon ranch panini and mom selected the baked potato soup and chicken caesar wrap. Can you say, YUM??!!! We Serve’s soups are made in house daily which means that bowl pictured right there is a big ol’ dish of fresh, homemade deliciousness!
Both the chicken caesar wrap and chicken bacon ranch panini were amazing, made with fresh, tasty ingredients and definitely hit the spot! After finishing our lunch, the owner, Jack, came by with samples of fresh, straight from the oven, cinnamon rolls and oh my goodness you guys, these things were heavenly, melt in your mouth perfection! He gave us one of each as he was testing glaze recipes so they could begin making and selling their own cinnamon rolls. We simply couldn’t decide which glaze we liked best so we bought one of each to take home!
Yum. Yum. Yum.
Now I want a cinnamon roll after all that reminiscing!!
Ok, but really…cinnamon rolls or not…what I love most about We Serve Coffee is their constant dedication to the community. Since it’s opening, We Serve has donated over $25,000 of its profits to local organizations. Talk about making an impact!
